Soccer Master/Lori Chalupny
2008 Olympic Gold Medallist Lori Chalupny will be making an appearance and signing autographs at "SOCCER MASTER".  Lori is no stranger to St. Louis, she grew up and played as a youth for the J.B. Marine Soccer Club.  She has been with the U.S. Women's National Team since 2001 and voted the 2005 US Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year.  Please join us on Monday, Sept 8th from 6:30pm till 8:30pm, at the Manchester Soccer Master Location, 14188 Manchester Rd.

We would like to welcome everyone to the new MYSA website. We have upgraded our site in order to provide more interactive communication to our members within the state. In order to use all the features of our site such as the Posting to the President's blog you will first need to create an account on the MYSA site.

To create an account you will need to first Register on the MYSA site you can do so by either CLICKING HERE or by selecting the Open Member Login which is located at the top of the screen then clicking the Register link. After you have successfully registered on the site you will receive an automated email with an activation link that will be sent to the email address for which you registered.

After you active your account you can login to the MYSA site by selecting the Open Member Login Panel which is located at the top of the screen and entering in your login information. National Youth License
Missouri Youth Soccer Association is proud to host a National Youth License.  Spacing is limited to 36 people.  Please click here for more information.   Applications and necessary forms can be found by clicking here.  If you need any additional information regarding the course, please contact Denny Vaninger.
 
Toyota Missouri College Showcase

Missouri Youth Soccer Association is proud to annouce it will sponsor the Annual Toyota Missouri Youth College Showcase on December 5-7, 2008 at the Scott Gallagher Soccer Complex for Missouri Registered High School Junior and Senior players.  The area’s finest soccer players will have the opportunity to play two games (weather permitting) before an array of college coaches from Division I through Junior College programs.

Registration fees for the 2008-2009 season will be $18.00 per player, plus an administrative team fee (for teams only) of $125.00 for at large teams only.

 
Attention Coaches and Adult Members

Kidsafe has been upgraded to accommodate the 2008-2009 season. As always, remember that you MUST print your confirmation page when it comes up. You WILL NOT be able to access that page again NOR will you be able to re-register. If you are having difficulties with your printer or are in a secure location, please WAIT and register from another computer.

"Small Sided Games" U-12 and Below

Effective for 2008-2009 Missouri Youth Soccer Association is Mandating “Small Sided Games” for ALL U12 and below teams throughout the state of Missouri as recommend by US Youth Soccer Association.

“Small Sided Games” Playing and Rostering Sizes

Under 6: 3 against 3 no goalkeepers; Single Field Method Minimum Roster of 4, Maximum Roster of 6. Dual Field Method Minimum Roster of 8, Maximum of 10.
Under 8: 4 against 4 no goalkeepers; Single Field Method Minimum Roster of 6, Maximum of 8. Dual Field Method Minimum Roster of 10, Maximum of 12.
Under 10: 6 against 6 with goalkeepers; Single Field Method Minimum Roster of 9, Maximum Roster of 11.
Under 12: 8 against 8 with goalkeepers, Minimum Roster Size of 11, Maximum Roster of 13.
Under 13 to Under 19: 11 against 11 with goalkeepers, Follow the current Rostering Requirements in the Rules of Play.

Realizing that some member organizations face limitations regarding coaches, roster sizes, field layout and availability, the Missouri Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors may accept a written request by June 15, 2008 to allow member organizations a one (1) year transition period to comply with the new Mandated “Small Sided Games” rostering, and playing requirements as recommended by US Youth Soccer Association for intra league play. Upon written request teams that play under a Missouri Youth Soccer Association/US Youth Soccer Association Sanctioned leagues would be allowed to keep their existing roster size of 14 players with the understanding of transitioning to the new roster sizes, and playing rules for “Small Sided Games” as recommended by US Youth Soccer Association by the 2009/2010 season.

Sanctioned Missouri Youth Soccer Association/US Youth Soccer Association Grandfathered Tournaments in this state that have been submitted and approved or in the process of being approved for the 2008/2009 season may also submit written request by June 15, 2008 to allow the organizations tournaments a one (1) year transition period to comply with the new Mandated “Small Sided Games” rostering, and playing requirements as recommended by US Youth Soccer Association. Missouri Youth Soccer Association/US Youth Soccer Association Sanctioned members who host sanctioned tournaments would be allowed to keep their existing roster size of 14 players in their current tournament rules with the understanding of transitioning to the new roster sizes, and playing rules for “Small Sided Games” as recommended by US Youth Soccer Association by the 2009/2010 season.
