What age groups can participate?

For 2007-2008 seasonal year, the age groups are 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996.

What is the cost?

The cost for tryouts is $150.00, with a discount for Early Registration or a credit for going to the William Jewell ODP camp in July 08.

What other costs will be incurred?

Additional costs could possibly be incurred for: competitions, if any, and additional training sessions, if any. Thos costs are determined on an event-by-event basis. Players chosen to represent Missouri at the Region event will also have an additional cost to cover direct expenses of this event.

When do tryouts take place?

Generally in November, the 2008/2009 season dates will be determined shortly and posted on the ODP Calendar of events as soon as they are confirmed.

What happens after the State Tryouts?

A State Pool is announced for each age group. These players will be involved in the training sessions. From this pool, teams will be chosen to represent that age group in any Competitions.

What commitment is expected?

Players are expected to make every effort to attend ODP events, tryouts, training sessions, and Competitions/Region Event if invited. The ODP prgram will try to give dates well in advance so that players and their parents can let Club Coaches know that they may not be available for any club events on those dates.

What is a "Region Event"?

The Region sponsors an ODP event in July of each year. It is either a CAMP or a TOURNAMENT, and is used by the Region to identify the best players in the Region. For High-School aged players, it is also used by many College coaches to identify players to recruit.
